Tips for Kids & Parents
 |
 |
- Children know ...
will remember the name of my instructor!
I always carry the address of my holiday accommodation with me!
If I lose my ski class, I will go to the ski school hut at the middle station
or to the Kinderland at the bottom station!
I never forget my gloves, sun cream, sunglasses and bonnet!
I always want to be safe and therefore always wear a helmet!
The ski school pass confirms the name and address, capability
and group name of the owner.
- Will time problems arise if both parents and children
ski in a ski course?
No problem! Our instructors are already at the arranged meeting point 10
minutes before the course is due to start! Furthermore, the children’s
ski course starts 5 minutes earlier than the ski courses for adults! Parents
thus have 15 minutes between bringing their children to their meeting point
and getting to their own meeting point! There is even enough time to find
the correct skis for you too!
- Is a helmet obligatory for children?
The risk that children will get hurt is rather minimal. However,
when using the lifts or other equipment, in collisions
or even if your child is lying on the ground, the head
is very vulnerable. This is the reason why we recommend
children to wear helmets.
- When can my child start in the ski school?
Children can start learning to ski at 3.
- Do children need ski poles?
Beginners need no ski poles. They will be needed for Group
2 (K2 Snowplough curve - Taking lifts) onwards.
- Do children need a ski pass?

- Clothing and protection
Children should always wear the appropriate clothing with
regard to the weather conditions, and they should always
wear sunglasses (ski glasses) and sun cream. Two-piece
ski suits with highly-cut trousers are ideal for small
children. This means that when it is warmer, the children
can take off their jacket or a jumper etc. to play.
- Start and finish meeting points
We ask both parents and children to be informed about the
start and finish meeting points. If it happens that a child
should lose itself, the meeting point will be at the ski
school hut in the Kinderberg Park, situated at the middle
station.
- Having fun is our motto
Our goal is to teach children how to ski and have fun whilst
learning.
- Events
* A children's party with a music and an entertainment programme will take
place every Thursday at the children's playground.
* Weekly end of ski course race with prizes
